Originally from Wisconsin, Marilyn began
her career as a cosmetologist. She and her husband adopted four
children during their marriage of nearly 37 years. The family moved to
Rock Springs, WY in 1971. After traveling around the state exploring
Wyoming they purchased property in Story in 1977 for future retirement.
Marilyn got her real estate license in 1992 in Rock Springs where she worked until 1998. She and her husband moved to Story after her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He passed away in Dec. of 1998. Marilyn received her associate broker's license in 1999 and went to work for Balkenbush Real Estate until Dec. 2002 when they closed their doors. Marilyn joined Summit Realty Group January 1, 2003.
Marilyn is now engaged to Jay Sanford from Casper, WY. Jay's family were the past owners of what is now the Pathfinder Ranch near Alcova. Marilyn and Jay moved a log cabin to Story last Spring and are remodeling it in her hours away from Real Estate. Marilyn also enjoys landscaping and gardening and spending time with her family.
